‘Cars 3’ New Sneak Peek Announces The Release Date Of The Main Trailer

Disney Pixar has released a new less than 20-second sneak peek for the highly anticipated "Cars 3." The clip did not give out much details but just serves as an announcement of the release date for the main trailer of the third installment of "Cars."

The latest sneak peek reveals that the main trailer for "Cars 3" is scheduled to come out on Jan. 9. The teaser also mentioned that the trailer will be released during the college football playoff national championship game on ESPN at 8 p.m.

The sneak peek confirms the return of the franchise's protagonist Lightning McQueen. The clip also gave a snippet on the designs of the other racing cars competing with Lightning McQueen. The teaser also highlighted the race track where Lightning McQueen and other speeding cars will race on.

Surprisingly, fans cannot spot Jackson Storm in the new sneak peek. The upcoming full-length trailer for "Cars 3" is yet to confirm Lightning McQueen's rival. Will there be a new car rival? Will Jackson Storm return to compete again with the red car protagonist?

As of press time, Comicbook noted that only Owen Wilson has been confirmed as cast member of the upcoming installment. Wilson will voice Lightning McQueen again in the new movie. The publication mentioned that other cast who will most likely return are Bonnie Hunt as Sally Carrera, Larry the Cable Guy as Master and Cheech Marin as Ramone.

In another report, the upcoming championship on Jan. 9 will be a playoff between Clemson and Alabama, Comingsoon.net has detailed. Even if you are not a fan of any of the football teams playing in the championship, you will have to tune into ESPN to witness the full-length trailer for the much-awaited "Cars 3" on Jan. 9 at 8 p.m.

"Cars 3" is expected to hit the theaters on June 16. Do you think this third installment will vindicate the sequel "Cars 2" which did not fairly gain much applause?
