'American Idol' Alum Pia Toscano No Longer Single, Marries Professional Dancer Jimmy R.O. Smith

Former "American Idol" contestant Pia Toscano is married after she and professional dancer Jimmy R.O. Smith tied the knot. The two had their celebration in New York.

The former reality contest contestant married Smith in front of their family and friends on Saturday. The 28-year-old singer has been sharing photos from their marriage on Instagram. In one of the snaps, Toscano was seen wearing her white wedding gown, which had a long train. Smith, on the other hand, wore a mustard-colored tuxedo and black slacks. In the caption, Smith said that she married her best friend and that she is on cloud nine, People reported.

According to reports, the Toscano's dress was designed by "Project Runway" contestant Michael Costello. The gown had flowing sleeves and lace embellishments. Toscana said before the ceremony that she dreamed of her magical day since she was four years old and that she always hoped to find her king. She noted of her marriage to Smith, "Today, all of my childhood dreams come true. I am marrying the absolute love of my life in front of my closest family and friends. I couldn't be happier!"

More on the wedding ceremony, Toscano had three maids of honor. One is her sister Kim, the other is her best friend Cassie, and the last one is her godmother named Rose. She said that these three people are her greatest mentors in life and she could not imagine her wedding day without them by her side.

The two go married at the Angel Orensanz Center in Manhattan, New York Daily News reported. Their first dance as husband and wife was to the song of John Legend entitled "All of Me." The two were introduced by "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez when she was a backup singer and he was a dancer on the tour of the mother-of-two. They got engaged last January.

Toscano previously dated Mark Ballas. This is the first wedding for both of them.
