HTC One A9, HTC Aero Specs & Release Date: Unveiling of Two Devices on Sept 29—What To Expect [Rumors]

HTC has prepared a surprise for its users before the month ends. A new teaser was spotted online which revealed an upcoming event where, according to rumors, two HTC new flagship phones will be unveiled.

According to TechnoBuffalo, a Twitter tipster by the name @upleaks hinted about the event.

According to PhoneArena the invite above reads, "The World Best Meets The Best," which suggests that the Taiwan-based manufacturer is promising the market not just one, but two new high-end smartphones.

GSMArena writes that the dual flagship may refer to HTC A9 (Aero) and Butterfly 3. Many believe that one of the handsets to be unveiled is indeed the HTC One A9 which is rumored to come with a high-end design, solid overall specs, and an improved and powerful new camera with the ability to shoot raw photos.

The anticipated HTC One A9/ Aero has a design similar to iPhone 6, according to NDTV Gadgets. "The rear panel looks similar to that of iPhone 6, featuring two antenna strips on top and bottom alongside the same bold curved handset edges."

However, it is noticeable that the camera is positioned in a new location. The manufacturer was clearly putting effort on giving HTC users a new experience. "While it will follow the HTC aesthetics in terms of design approach and engineering, the HTC Aero design should look and feel quite different to HTC's other handsets," Android Pit notes.

As for the handset's display, it comes with a Quad HD or 1080 display with Gorilla Glass 4 and 2.5 D curved edges. The new smartphone is equipped with a deca-core MediaTek Helio X2 chipset with a Mali-T880 MP4 graphic processor. It has a 4GB RAM.

According to HTC Source, HTC Aero will feature a new groundbreaking image technology to exceed the low-light performance of HTC's UltraPixel sensor. The report suggests that the gadget will come with "a new camera interface and may even sport an f1.9 (matching the aperture of the Samsung Galaxy S6) lens to further improve the handset's low-light imaging capabilities."

On the other hand, the other phone could be the Buttefly series. The location is suggesting that HTC will be focusing on its Butterfly smartphone series, which may be released as a Japanese exclusive, TechnoBuffalo reports. However, HTC J Butterly was revealed only few months ago, so there is no guarantee that the product will be available by then.

The event is scheduled three weeks from now, on Sept. 29. As the said date approaches, there's a big chance that more information about HTC's upcoming event will be revealed. So stay tuned!
