Adele Opens Up About Parenting A Son: 'I'm Raising Him To Respect Women'

Adele rarely opens up about her private life and tries to keep her 4-year-old son, Angelo, away from the public eye. The Grammy-winning singer, however, recently revealed in a magazine interview what one parenting approach she's using in raising a boy.

It's no secret that the "Hello" hitmaker brings her son with her everywhere, including her tours. In fact, she's currently starting her leg in Australia this season with Angelo and husband Simon Konecki in tow.

As Angelo is always with his mother, Adele said that the toddler is slowly learning just how a "powerful force" his mom is in his life. "I'm raising him to respect women," the singer said, per Female First. "He feels it at home, let alone when he comes to work with me."

In 2015, Adele granted her first interview since giving birth and told I-D that she had underestimated parenthood. She thought it would be a breeze because everyone is doing it.

"I had no idea. It is hard but it's phenomenal," the 28-year-old mom said. "It's the greatest thing I ever did."

Balancing a phenomenal career in music and motherhood, Adele also shared she has learned to choose the things and people she should be worrying about since having Angelo. "Now I'm a mom, I only have so much head space," the "Rolling in the Deep" singer candidly said.

Meanwhile, Adele and Konecki apparently tied the knot after five years of being together. The ceremony took place among close friends and family in the family's Los Angeles mansion just after Christmas last year, according to Mirror.

Adele didn't want to fuss over her wedding, thus the ultra-secret affair. The couple wanted to focus on exchanging vows among a few witnesses but Adele apparently got to wear a white wedding gown.

The singer did not come out with an official statement about her new marital status but when she accepted her awards at the Grammys a few weeks back, she did acknowledge Konecki by referring to him as her husband. The family is said to be planning their second child after her tour is over.
