Amanda Seyfried Pregnant: Actress Admits It's 'Hard To Feel Beautiful' With Baby Weight, Swears By Maternity Jeans

Actress Amanda Seyfried, 31, admits she's having a hard time feeling beautiful while pregnant. So when she graced a recent red carpet event for her new movie "The Last Word," she was surprised to get a lot of compliments.

Seyfried, who's having a baby with fiancé and co-star Thomas Sadoski, said her pregnancy style has been about J Brand maternity jeans all these months following her pregnancy announcement in November. Since gaining almost 35 pounds of baby weight, the pregnant mom wants comfort for her pregnancy most of all.

The actress, who became well-known for her role in "Mean Girls," loves "those black skinny jeans with the bands," according to Yahoo. She said, however, it felt really wonderful to be greeted at the movie event with people telling her she looks nice.

"You can actually feel really beautiful when you have 35 extra pounds on you!" Seyfried said. "I'm so uncomfortable right now physically. It's hard to feel beautiful - and I really did, and it's nice to have that little reprieve right before getting ready to feel maybe a little worse before I feel better."

Seyfried said she has not gone out much while her baby belly grew. The movie event has been the only time she got to don a pretty dress and makeup while pregnant.

Co-star Shirley MacLaine was seen gushing over Seyfried when they reunited for the movie premiere. The veteran actress kept hugging and clutching her baby belly at the red carpet. Watch MacLaine compliment the mom-to-be in the video below.

Meanwhile, future dad Sadoski, 40, also cannot help but praise the mother of his child. He knows in his heart his fiancée is going to make a wonderful mom.

"She's just so thoughtful, careful, loving, caring, giving, kind, generous, fun, funny," Sadoski said, per Us Weekly. The couple already knows the gender of their baby but they are not announcing this until the birth.

Seyfried and Sadoski met in 2015 for a different movie project. They started dating in early 2016 and got engaged in September.
