George Clooney Prepares For Fatherhood, Amal Clooney Shots Down Baby Names He Picked

George Clooney is gearing up for fatherhood. The 55-year-old actor and his human rights lawyer wife Amal Clooney are expecting twins this summer. The couple is picking out baby names.

The first-time dad discussed nothing but this latest milestone in his life at the recent Las Vegas red carpet event for the movie he directed, "Suburbicon." He looked confident about becoming a dad, according to People.

"I know swaddling," Clooney said. "I know what I'm in for." Hollywood's former most eligible bachelor also joked he's an expert on babies. He played a pediatrician on the '90s TV series, "ER."

"So I know how to work on extra children," the dad-to-be said, as per E! News. "If there are any accidents I'm there. I'm the guy."

The excitement is obvious on Clooney's face and he admitted he's very happy with his life. He and his wife already discuss baby names and Clooney reveals Amal shot down two of his suggestions. He cannot name the twins Casa and Amigos after his tequila company Casamigos, CNN noted.

Friends of the actor believe the Clooney couple will make great parents for their twins. Best friend Matt Damon reveals Clooney is "going to get prepared," according to Us Weekly. "He'll be a mess, but [Amal] will take care of everything."

The Clooneys confirmed the pregnancy in February after three years of marriage. The pair had a whirlwind courtship that culminated in a wedding at the Venice City Hall with a handful of close friends as witnesses.

Following the wedding, pregnancy rumors hounded the couple for three years. Now that Amal is indeed pregnant with twins, public curiosity shifted towards the babies' sex. Clooney's mom excitedly revealed the couple were having a boy and girl, but neither George nor Amal have confirmed this so far.
