"Outlander" Season 2 will see the return of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe as Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall, respectively. The upcoming season of the Starz time traveler series is based on Diana Gabaldon's second book, "Dragonfly in Amber," which will see Jamie and Claire travel all the way to France to stop the Jacobite Rebellion.

In an interview with The Spinoff, Sam Heughan revealed that "Outlander" Season 2 will be completely different from its first season. Aside from the different location and costumes, Heughan teased that Jamie and Claire will also change in their own way.

The 35-year-old Scottish actor also hinted that "Outlander" Season 2 will reflect a difference in the dynamics of Claire and Jamie's relationship.

"If season one was the young love, the honeymoon, the getting to know each other season, then season two is the complex, grown up marriage," Heughan added.

Sam Heughan also called himself a "fake ginger" when asked about his thoughts on being the most famous ginger in the world next to Ed Sheeran and "Harry Potter" star Ron Weasley.

"It's kind of upsetting because they really are ginger, and they're pasty and white as well. Whereas I've got that Jamie Fraser, slightly dirty, swarthy skin," he shared.

Meanwhile, fans are speculating on the possible involvement of "Star Trek" legend William Shatner in "Outlander" Season 2, Scotland Now reported.

Rumors surrounding Shatner's appearance in "Outlander" Season 2 grew after Sam Heughan revealed that he and Shatner will be "doing some things together."
