'Star Wars Rogue One' Darth Vader Extended Cameo: Fans Will Get 'Sucked In;' Character's Death Hinted

The "Star Wars Rogue One" Darth Vader cameo has definitely got all fans excited for the first Lucasfilm standalone. While details about the supervillain's role remain to be limited as of writing, the production team has volunteered some information about Vader's role in the movie.

Director Gareth Edwards dished on these highly anticipated "Star Wars Rogue One" Darth Vader scenes and dished on how epic it will be. "He's got such a gravitational pull, the second he shows up you just get sucked into Darth Vader," he told the crowd at the Star Wars Celebration event in London, The Week noted. "So it was a process to try and figure out how to pepper that in in a way that felt right."

The director also shared the challenges he had in making the first standalone "Star Wars" flick. "Everyone is making their own movies," he said. "They'll all have their own style and voice...

"[But] it's such a fine line. If you go slightly to the left, it's not 'Star Wars.' It's some other sci-fi movie. If you go slightly to the right, you're just copying what George [Lucas] did. Trying to navigate this thing where it's new but feels fresh was the dance that was the process of making the film."

Meanwhile, apart from the "Star Wars Rogue One" Darth Vader cameo, it would seem that fans need to brace themselves for a rumored death in the upcoming movie. At the Star Wars Celebration in London, cast member Jiang Wen may have volunteered some information he shouldn't have.

"I pretend [to all the characters to do a very, very big mission. I cannot say [anything more about] that," the "Star Wars Rogue One" actor tried to explain as he struggled with his English, The Independent noted. "And [he gestures to Donnie Yen], when this guy dead I do something better. Maybe I believe by my action - he's thinker, I'm doer so-"

At that point, his co-star Gwendoline Christie tried to salvage what she can by saying, "I think we need to leave it there. I think you've got to leave it there."

"Star Wars Rogue One" is slated for a December 14, 2016 release date.
