'The Vampire Diaries' Latest News: Nina Dobrev Discussing Role For Finale, Sarah Salvatore Appearing In Season 8 To Ruin Bonnie-Enzo Relationship?

Nina Dobrev's exit on "The Vampire Diaries" has made a lot of fans upset but the news about her possibly returning for the finale might cheer up the show's fandom as reports say that she is in talks with the producers of the show regarding being featured in Season 8. Another character coming back is Sarah Salvatore, which could ruin the relationship of Bonnie and Enzo.

The CW boss Mark Pedowitz talked about the matter during his appearance on the 2016 Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour and he said that ending "The Vampire Diaries" was a decision that he and Julie Plec, the producer of the series, made together, E! News reported.

As for Dobrev reprising her role as Elena in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, Pedowitz said, "There are discussions going on with Nina, we'd love to have her back...These are discussions that go on, hopefully she'll be back, but should it not work out, Julie has planned out a great series finale for fans." It is unclear if Dobrev is enthusiastic about coming back to "The Vampire Diaries" for its final season. Pedowitz also said that Plec will have to decide for how many episodes will Elena be seen if she decides to come back for the final episode of the show. 

More on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, the character Sarah Salvatore will be coming back for the finale and it might affect the blossoming love between Bonnie and Enzo. Tristin Mays, the actress playing the character of Sarah Salvatore on "The Vampire Diaries," shared that fans will get to seen Bonnie and Enzo interacting like they have not before and fans might get what they have been asking for regarding Bonnie and Sarah Salvatore talking, Hollywood Life reported.

The last time Sarah Salvatore was seen on "The Vampire Diaries" was when Enzo snapped her neck. Despite that, the chemistry between the two characters was undeniable so her coming back for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 might affect the Bonnie-Enzo relationship in some way.

Mays did not give away details as to how her character will be back in Mystic Falls for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 but many characters from the past seven seasons will definitely be seen again before the show comes to an end.
