‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Spoilers: Abraham Is Negan’s Kill? Michael Cudlitz Drops Hints

The Season 6 finale of "The Walking Dead" wrapped up in a huge cliffhanger that disappointed and outraged majority of the fans of AMC's highly popular zombie drama. Viewers will still have to wait until October to find out who was killed by new villain Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), but rumors about who it might have already popped up since the Season 6 finale aired -- among them is Abraham (Michael Cudlitz).

In a recent interview with Popsugar, Cudlitz revealed that his character is very much alive on "The Walking Dead.. The 51-year-old actor said that Abraham "will continue for a while now" and that he's still being given scripts for the role. This heavily implies that Abraham is not Negan's victim.

There are speculations, however, that this is just the show's tactic to put fans in a sense of false security. People from Spoil the Dead claimed that Cudlitz is still not seen on "The Walking Dead" set since the Season 7 premiere episode was filmed in May.

Among the characters spotted on set and appearing to have survived Negan's bat are Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Aaron (Ross Marquand), and Tara (Alanna Masterson), NY Daily News reported. Daryl (Norman Reedus), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), and Carl (Chandler Riggs) are still absent -- at least from paparazzi shots that surfaced online.

Some fans also believe that Negan's victim on "The Walking Dead" is Glenn, which is canon with the comic book series the show is based on. Another theory involved Negan bashing Glenn with his bat Lucille and then shooting Abraham, adding more shock and anguish with the latter's death. It should be noted that Abraham has already died in the comics.

"The Walking Dead" producer Gale Anne Hurd described Morgan's Negan as a "game changer" in Season 7, Variety reported. Hurd said the seventh season will pick up where Season 6 left off and they're "not going to draw it out."

Reedus, meanwhile, told TVLine that the Season 7 premiere of "The Walking Dead" is "mind-blowing" but remain tight-lipped on other details. Executive producer Scott M. Gimple also hinted that what happens in the premiere episode of Season 7 "will shatter the lives of those who survive."
