'A Series Of Unfortunate Events' Air Date, News & Spoilers: Baudelaire Orphans To Live Darker Lives With Count Olaf On TV Series

"A Series of Unfortunate Events" teaser was released by Netflix which saw Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket walking around a dimly-lit studio. It revealed the props and some equipment that might soon be of importance as "A Series of Unfortunate Events" begins but none of the Baudelaire orphans Violet, Klaus and Sunny were seen. The teaser, however, let fans hear the voice of the show's main antagonist, Count Olaf.

Count Olaf will be portrayed by no other than the Emmy and Tony award winning actor Neil Patrick Harris on Netflix' "A Series of Unfortunate Events," MSN reported. He is a distant relative of the Baudelaires known for various disguises. He has developed a strong fixation with the inheritance of the Baudelaire children on "A Series of Unfortunate Events."

The Baudelaire orphans Violet and Klaus of "A Series of Unfortunate Events" will be portrayed by Malina Weissman and Louis Hynes, respectively. Their sibling, Sunny, is speculated to be a CGI prop on Netflix' "A Series of Unfortunate Events" as Sunny is still a toddler who has not learned to speak yet.

Netflix' "A Series of Unfortunate Events" is a TV adaptation of a 13-book novel written by Daniel Handler who uses the pen name Lemony Snicket. In an interview with Harris in "Live with Kelly," he already revealed that Netflix will be making two episodes out of a single book from the 13 books of "A Series of Unfortunate Events."

This could apparently make the Netflix version of the story more spread out and more detailed than the movie adaptation of "A Series of Unfortunate Events" in 2014 starring Jim Carrey. Additionally, Harris also discussed how they prepared to make him Count Olaf which includes three hours of putting on prosthetics for every disguises he has to portray.

"A Series of Unfortunate Events" on Netflix is also expected to bring a darker take on the story as revealed by Harris, Gamers Sphere reported. However, he also made it clear that children can still watch the show as Netflix aims to make it available for adults and children as well.

"A Series of Unfortunate Events" is slated to air on Jan. 13, 2017. What do you think of the new Netflix show "A Series of Unfortunate Events?" Let us know in the comment section below.
