'Rick And Morty' Season 3 Air Date, News Updates: Adult Swin Releases Claymation Series Of Classic Sci-Fi Movies Ahead Of New Season

"Rick and Morty" has been off the limelight for quite some time leaving fans wondering as to whether there will be a new season coming up, or their favorite show is already set for cancellation. As of the latest update, it's already been confirmed that "Rick and Morty" are bound to make a comeback through a "claymation" remake.

Adult Swim announced that they will be working with the Simpson's Claymation maker, Lee Hardcastle. Den of Geek mentioned that Hard castle will be working with "Rick and Morty" alongside Justin Roiland. Den of Geeks also dished out a few snippets of the upcoming "Rick and Morty" episodes. Some of which are the parody of a scene from a classic sci-fi movie, "The Thing." David Cronenberg's "The Fly" is also part of the upcoming "Rick and Morty" episodes.

In regards to "Rick and Morty" season 3, it was previously reported by Den of Geeks that "Rick and Morty" are bound to make a comeback by March of next year. Though March of 2017 is the target date of the series' 3rd season premiere, Dan Harmon insisted that fans don't have to wait that long as the team's target is set by the end of this year.

"It's an honor to see Rick and Morty join the exclusive club of shows over nineteen episodes. It's time to demand that the network allows us to draw the characters going to Hawaii," co-creator Dan Harmon said. Other co-creator Justin Roiland then added, "I am blown away by the seemingly instant success of Rick and Morty. I look forward to continuing their adventures!"

Fans will get to watch fresh new episodes for "Rick and Morty" season 3 as it was announced that news writers hopped on board to join their creative team. Dan Harmon highlighted that the additional show runners will bring gender balance to the show.

"We hired a bunch of new writers," Dan Harmon told Den of Geek in an exclusive interview. "There was a craving for a gender balance in the writers' room that we had never had, but I'm also very proud of the fact that we didn't compromise ourselves following that craving. We just looked harder and I don't know if it was coincidence or because the show was popping up on the radar of a lot of great female writers noticing, 'Well, they don't have any women writers in there. I'm gonna submit something.' It was probably a combination of all those factors."

'Rick and Morty' season 3 is set to return this fall.
