"The Originals" Season 4 may only have competition between Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) and Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis) to resolve, but perhaps also between Klaus and Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin). Season 4 has major tasks set for "The Originals" cast, including the rescue of the Mikaelsons sibling from coma and certain death.

In "The Originals" Season 3 finale Klaus Mikaelson sacrificed himself for his family and became Marcel Gerard's prisoner with help from the Tunde Blade. However, the Mikaelson siblings Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic), Freya (Riley Voelkel) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) are not in any good shape either when "The Originals" Season 3 finale closed.

Bustle cites a conversation between Phoebe Tonkin and TVLine about the dynamics among Klaus Mikaelson, Hope (Summer Fontana) and Hayley Marshall. According to Phoebe Tonkin, Hope will display more similarities with Klaus Mikaelson than with Hayley Marshall.

Will Hope gravitate closer to Klaus Mikaelson than she had to Hayley Marshall? Granted Hayley Marshall and Hope had been on their own during the time jump preceding "The Originals" Season 4 premiere.
