'Grand Theft Auto 6' Release Date, News & Updates: ‘GTA 6’ With London Map Not The ONLY Surprise Coming From Rockstar Games?

"Grand Theft Auto 6" with a London map and "Red Dead Redemption 2' from Rockstar Games may not be the only game in the pipeline from the "GTA" franchise maker. Take Two Interactive recently registered a trademark for a new title, which may come from Rockstar Games and which may potentially affect new "Grand Theft Auto" iteration release.

Game Rant reports that Take Two Interactive has a new project which may be a property to be developed by the "Grand Theft Auto" studio. According to the media outlet, the trademark, for which Take Two Interactive registered was "Ghost Story." GameSpot reports that trademark filings by Take Two Interactive for "Ghost Story" includes filings for video games, films and clothing merchandise.

If "Ghost Story" will be lined up for Rockstar Games as "Grand Theft Auto 6" and future "GTA" iterations, will the franchise and its corresponding mission packs be affected? Could "Ghost Story" be the next title for Rockstar Games and effect a push back on "Grand Theft Auto 6?"

Game Rant does qualify that trademark registration does not necessarily mean that the "Ghost Story" video game will release soon or in any way coincide with "Grand Theft Auto 6." "Ghost Story" may not even be a title under Rockstar Games and may be assigned to a studio other than the "GTA" franchise developer.

As such the likelihood of "Grand Theft Auto 6" being released after "Red Dead Redemption 2" is delivered by the "GTA" franchise developer is high. "Red Dead Redemption 2" is anticipated for a 2017 release, which may mean that "Grand Theft Auto 6" could see a 2018 outing.

"Grand Theft 6" is also widely believed to be set in a London map. Although Parent Herald earlier proposed that a win by Donald Trump in the presidential election could keep "Grand Theft Auto 6" on a US map, Mobi Picker believes that "GTA 6" is more likely happening on a London map.
