‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Episode 9 Updates: New Trailer Teases Rick Prepares For A Great Battle [SPOILERS]

The air date for "The Walking Dead" season 7B has been revealed and fans should begin marking their calendars now as the hit series will return on Sunday, Feb. 12. Also, a sneak peek and promo video have just been released, teasing a great battle that Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is cooking up against Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) Saviours.

The announcement for the air date of the second half of season 7 of "TWD" has just been released on Monday, Dec. 12, after the finale of season 7A. TVLine has posted the key art revealing the return date of the hit AMC series. The key art simply shows the phrase "RISE UP" in bold, bloody red letters with reflection of the images of the characters within each letter, above the title and return date of the series.

Furthermore, a new trailer for the upcoming episode 9 of "The Walking Dead" season 7 has just surfaced, teasing a great battle is about to come. The short clip reveals how Rick and his team are preparing for the upcoming fight with Negan's Saviours.

Fans can recall that the midseason finale has featured how Rick and his team has joined together to devise a scheme to defeat the Saviours. The team has finally realized that they should unite their best acts together in fighting the Saviors. The promo video for the upcoming season 7B of "TWD" confirms the implementation of the plan made in the midseason finale episode.

One scene reveals Rick and his team were talking to King Ezekiel (Khary Payton). Rick was encouraging King Ezekiel to join them in the fight. The former also told the latter that their communities share a similar goal, the Independent reported. The clip further shows Rick was emphasizing how they are bound to win the battle, if they will fight as a team.

Meanwhile, another significant spoiler has been revealed through a sneak peek, which was not included in the new trailer. In the said clip, a mysterious person appears to be spying in the dark. The clip did not reveal much details about this person, except that the person is wearing a pair of boots.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 will have a short hiatus and will return on Feb. 12, 2017. Fans of "TWD" will have to wait for more updates in our next report.
