Recent rumors claim that 20^th TV is brewing a spin-off to be called, "How I Met Your Father" and the writers will be Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, the same people behind the "This Is Us" drama.

According to Deadline, the plot of "How I Met Your Father" will be different because this time, the story will be tackled from a woman's point of view. Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger of "This Is Us" will be the writers of the "HIMYM" spinoff.

Apparently, this is not the first time that a spinoff for "HIMYM" was announced as a planned sequel, "How I Met Your Dad" was supposed to happen in 2014. This series which was ultimately cancelled was written by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas as posted in Huffington Post. This time around, Bays and Thomas will be the executive producers of "How I Met Your Father."
