‘World Of Warcraft’ Celebrates 20th Anniversary Of ‘Diablo’ With Secret Cow Level, Not So Secret Anymore!

Blizzard is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the game that started it all, "Diablo." To commemorate this once-in-a-lifetime feat, Blizzard's current active titles are participating in the celebration, including the "World of Warcraft." And it seems one player uncovered the highly rumored "secret" cow level.

In the past, Blizzard has previously denied the existence of the long-running joke from "Diablo," the secret cow level. Now, in one of the biggest anniversary celebrations of Blizzard's titles, TimFromTheBeach has detailed how to get to the secret cow level and achieve the rewards the game has to offer. And YouTube user Wowhead created a gameplay footage detailing how to defeat these bovine creatures including their Cow King.

Late last year, plans to celebrate "Diablo" 20th anniversary in "World of Warcraft" were vague compared with other active titles. Now that the festivities are live, players are discovering that the axe-wielding, bipedal cows do exist.

To access the secret cow level, players need to hunt down and kill the Treasure Goblin. This creature spawns in the outdoors by the Broken Isles, in the Dalaran sewers, and in the Legion dungeons. You have to kill the Goblin before it is finished casting an Escape Portal, per GameRant. Doing so opens up a portal that will transport the player to the much rumored secret cow level.

Once you arrive at the secret cow level, you must brace yourself for a horde of angry cows ready to battle. Of course, the Cow King is there, too. You need to take down these bovine creatures including the Cow King to earn a unique toy.

The Twelve-String Guitar will activate an amazing weapon with a cooldown of 66 minutes and 6 seconds. You will also be awarded the achievement for the game, "Diablo's 20th Anniversary."

According to GameSpot, both the Treasure Goblins and the Cow King can drop special items like Scroll of Town Portal and various charms and other items in reference to "Diablo" games. The Cow King only drops special items once per day until the event ends on Jan. 11. Be sure to check out Wowhead's video below.
