'Thor 3 Ragnarok' Could Be The Most Unique MCU Flick Ever Made; Fun, Playful 80s Vibe Teased

Fans already know that "Thor 3 Ragnarok" will be a very important puzzle piece in the MCU phase 3. However, new reports are starting to claim more amazing news about the third installment directed by Taika Waititi.

As Screen Rant reported, the upcoming "Thor 3 Ragnarok" movie which will still star Chris Hemsworth as the god of thunder, will be vastly different not only from the two previous "Thor" movies, but also from the rest of the MCU. The publication teased that there could be an 80s vibe to the movie as Waititi claimed in a recent Reddit AMA.

Apart from it's rumored fun and playful vibe, previous reports have already hinted that "Thor 3 Ragnarok" will be loosely based on "Planet Hulk." It has been confirmed that the new movie will be a cosmic adventure that will involve the unlikely tandem of Thor and The Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo.

Other "Thor 3 Ragnarok" cast members include mainstays Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Idris Elba as Heimdall. New faces added to the roster include Cate Blanchett as Hela, Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster and "Jurassic Park" star Sam Neill as a still undisclosed character.

Fans were also sent into a frenzy recently after director Taika Waitit posted a photo on his Instagram account that somehow suggests the addition of another "Planet Hulk" character in "Thor 3 Ragnarok." As Cinema Blend reported, Waititi could be subtly hinting that stone giant Korg- who is well known to be an ally of The Hulk- could be another interesting addition to the star-studded cast.

"Thor 3 Ragnarok" is slated for a November 3, 2017 premiere. The upcoming installment will be the last standalone movie for the Asgardian superhero.
