A new update for "Call of Duty's" newest installment "Infinite Warfare" went live a couple of days ago. The game was experiencing a lot of glitches lately, and this update is the developer's response.
The huge update for "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is said to fix the game's known issues in Multiplayer and Zombie in Space. Update 1.04 contains over 1,000 bug fixes occurring within the two modes mentioned. The PlayStation 4 version of the game will receive a total of 850MB worth of files and 1GB for the Xbox One version.
Some of the most notable changes include: fixed an issue where the second player in split screen would not earn any Mission Team Progress; general fixes for Infected mode; adjusted a Frontline spawn point on Riot due to intersection geometry; fixed a bug where bots wouldn't pick up crates in Drop Zone; fix for one extra frame of latency that was appearing in the muzzle flashes.
For Zombies in Spaceland, notable changes include: fix for zombies who "walk on air"; fixed the occasional crawling zombie playing a standing death animation; fix for pap zappers having no ammo after you pick them back up off the standee; fix for seeing player outlines when they are playing emulated arcade games and much more based on the list posted on Reddit.
"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" promised a complete overhaul the entire series, not only in the storyline but in combat as well. But this was not the case when the game was launched on Nov. 4, 2016.
The reviews for the new installment were upsetting. The "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" game received an "average" score versus "Battlefield 1's" "amazing" rating. Though the storyline of the Single Player Campaign Mode was praised for its originality, the game lacks the promised innovation in multiplayer and the gameplay itself.
"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's" latest and upcoming updates may be the key to the series' redemption. The battle's not over yet and "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is just in the first chapter of the long battle ahead.
