Sia Becomes a Mom and Grandmother in a Short Span of Two Years [She is Only 44]

Sia became a grandmother just as quickly as when she became a mom!

The 44-year-old mom told Apple Music's Zane Lowe that one of the two teens that she adopted last year just became a dad. She said that her youngest son just had two babies.

Sia is both excited and "horrified" of becoming a grandmother. Still, she wants the kids to call her "Nana." She even jokingly said that she wants to be a grandmother like Kris Kardashian, whom her grandchildren call "Lovey."

Sia shared how she wants to become a mom

The "Chandelier" singer opened up about her decision to adopt two 18-year-olds from foster care a year ago. She said that they were fantastic, and both were aging out of the care system. She also said that they have until age 21, but she decided to adopt them nonetheless.

As a mom, Sia said that parenting the two teenagers is tricky because she had to learn to create really strong boundaries quickly. She would let them choose between staying with her or going back to their old home. She would explain that she does things because she loves them as a mom.

Sia would also say that she has no other agenda than loving them without caring much about their history or skin color. She then told them that she does not want them to be a part of the five percent that ends up in prison their whole lives.

Undergoing trauma programs

After Sia adopted the two, both have undergone therapeutic "trauma programs." She shared that her older son has already finished his program and is blossoming. The notorious private hitmaker gushed as she said that her son is the light of her life and loves him so much.

The Canadian singer has added her younger son to the same program. She prays that her son could manage because she took hers when she was 41. She does not want her sons to deal with early developmental trauma. However, she knew that it is not right to force anyone.

Sia finally said that trauma has to come out when a person is in a safe environment. It happens when a person is psychologically ready, so she is doing her best for her children.

Sia's first adopted child

In January, Sia told GQ that she adopted a child. She said that she decided to be single for the rest of her life. After adopting her first child, she says she does not have time for a relationship because she is busy being a mom.

The singer tweeted before that she wanted to adopt a child. In May 2019, she called out to "Dasani" from 'FOSTER' on @HBO and said that she would like to adopt her.

Twitter user @LilyInPink82 replied to her saying that her life has changed since she was adopted. She also wrote that everyone needs a family to carry them, laugh with them, and love them. Finally, she prayed for Sia to receive more blessings. She also hoped for her to connect with Dasani's caseworkers and work everything out.
