How to Ruin Your Fridge With a Magic Eraser

A woman shared her horrific story when she tried to clean her fridge with magic erasers and left the outside of her fridge destroyed. 

The woman, who is based in Sydney shared her experience with using the magic erasers in cleaning her fridge and revealed that those magic erasers erased the top layer of coating of her stainless steel appliance.

What happened to the fridge?

The horrified mother said that she was so embarrassed at her error that left her with no choice but to buy a new fridge rather than to let people know and see the ruined door. 

At first, she said that she was pleased with how well the magic erasers were working but it was later on that she realized her mistake. The photo she shared shows her damaged fridge with the coating completely stripped away in patches. 

The horrified and ashamed mother could only stand back while looking at her now destroyed stainless coated fridge. She said that at that moment, all she wanted was to cry about the disaster that she had made.

A lot of people reacted with much sympathy for her cleaning disaster and shared their words of warning and what not to do with magic erasers.

One person said that magic erasers are like fine grade sandpaper and what not to do with them is to be lenient in using them when cleaning. The person added that people should use it with much caution because of its material. 

Another person also shared that what not to do is to use magic erasers quickly. The person said that people should always trial the sponge in a small area that they are going to clean first before using it for the whole thing. 

They added that this is an important thing to do since magic erasers tend to take off paint, as what had happened to the Sydney-based mom that it stripped the coat off of her fridge door.

On the other hand, other people are thankful for the woman after she had shared her horror experience with the said magic erasers in her cleaning. 

Also, her shared experience is a certain reminder of what not to do with the said cleaning material. Aside from these, the people said that they would now really avoid using the eraser on stainless steel places and things. 

The purpose of magic erasers

Magic erasers can be used on several stains but it should be tested out first in a small area that a person will be cleaning. Because it is made to clean and remove tough stains and scuffs on washable areas, this tends to be a tough factor that can easily take off paints and other coatings on things. Aside from these, just like what they are called, magic erasers are like pencil erasers where they will break down and fall apart as they are being used.
