Mom of Triplets Receives Sweet Surprise After Her Water Broke 4 Months Early

A mom of triplets receives a sweet surprise from her boyfriend after giving birth to her babies four months early. Her partner planned something special for her because she had missed so many events upon giving birth early.

Deonna Fletcher broke her water a day after Thanksgiving. Her boyfriend, Antonio Livingston, rushed her to UPMC Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh, and there they found out that she had to be on bed rest until she gave birth to her triplets.

She missed so many events due to bed rest

It meant that Fletcher would not only miss her baby shower and her anniversary with Livingston but also miss Christmas and New Year's Eve. So her boyfriend decided to plan something special to show her how much he loves her.

The Pittsburgh photographer told TODAY Parents that he planned to propose to his girlfriend on December 5, which was also the day of their baby shower. However, since the hairstylist got admitted to the hospital on November 27, they had to cancel their plans.

The 26-year-old boyfriend said that in the worst-case scenario, he would just have dinner in the room. He wanted to get Fletcher out of the room. Thankfully, doctors allowed him to do so a few times.

Boyfriend prepared a sweet surprise for her

Livingston found a private alcove on the fifth floor of the hospital that seemed like a romantic spot for a night out. He worked with the hospital staff to make a special engagement surprise. Other than setting up tables with linens, they also set up champagne flutes for sparkling cider. They also had food delivered so it would feel like there were in a restaurant.

Livingston had a limousine of wheelchairs when he knocked on his 23-year-old girlfriend's door to pick her up, just like on their first date. Fletcher did not know that there was more to the meal delivered to them on that day.

On the video shared on YouTube, the photographer acted like he was having a magic trick show for Fletcher. Instead, he proposed to her. The completely stunned Fletcher said her yes.

Surprised for conceiving triplets

Before this surprise, she also got shocked about finding out they were having three. She could not believe it because multiples do not run in both families. Livingston said that he also got surprised upon learning from the technician that they were having triplets.

The doctors are hoping that Fletcher could at least give birth at the end of January because she is due in March. The expectant mom advises everyone not to let anything stop them from receiving love. She said that her boyfriend made the best out of what he could do even though there is a pandemic.

The couple is planning to get married in 2022 so that their triplet girls could become their flower girls. They have been surprised by the response of their Instagram followers and those who have watched their YouTube videos.
