Nickelodeon's JoJo's Juice Game Recall: Content Not Appropriate for Kids

Nickelodeon's JoJo's Juice game gets recalled after the pop star expressed that its contents are not appropriate for kids. The game is marketed for children as young as six years old, but the contents are allegedly not suitable for them.

The new game that features JoJo Siwa contains some truth-or-dare and never-have-I-ever cards that ask some R-rated questions. Some parents complained because they saw a question that asked if the player has ever walked in on someone naked.

Game recall

Partnered with game maker Spin Master, Nickelodeon told "TODAY" that it will stop making the game. The company also said that it pulled the board game from retailers. The game will no longer be available on Amazon or Walmart.com. Parents can also get a refund per JoJo's request.

"Dance Moms" star JoJo became famous among young kids. The dancer and singer's big bows have become a trend, and kids love her fashion, dolls, and other merchandise. Because JoJo has built a brand as family-friendly, a JoJo game would surely appeal to many, including parents.

A TikTok post went viral

Heather Watson shared some details of the game on TikTok about how lewd the JoJo Juice game was. Her post on TikTok has gone viral after seeing how inappropriate the new game was for their kids. She shared that some game cards ask children to twerk, while others ask the players if they have ever been arrested.

What concerned Watson was that the game seemed like it came from Siwa. She explained that young kids might think that if they have never been arrested before, they should be because JoJo is asking them that.

The post had already garnered 31,000 likes and more than 600,000 views. The 34-year-old mom first thought the game would ask silly questions like, "have you ever picked your nose?" instead, she found more serious questions that are quite alarming. JoJo apologized for the content of the game in an Instagram post.

She explained that she knew about the game concept, but she did not review the cards that were to be included in the box. The 17-year-old star thanked fans for bringing the game contents to her attention. She said that the questions had upset her.

Parents should check everything

This news is proof that parents should always review what their kids play. The parents should consider playing with each game or toy that they buy for their kids before allowing young ones to play by themselves.

"Moms.com" stated that while the game might look like fun to play with, but it included a few too many questions that are not suitable for young kids.
