Kate Hudson Rethinks Family Connections This New Year; Wants to Reconnect with Siblings and Dad

Kate Hudson rethinks family connections this new year, 2021. The Hollywood actress says she wants to reconnect with her siblings and estranged dad.

In her podcast, Sibling Revelry, she discussed with her brother, Oliver Hudson, that although she does not have any New Year's resolution yet, it is her family connections that she keeps on thinking about recently. 

Specifically, Kate Hudson rethinks family connections with her father, Bill Hudson, and her siblings from his dad and another brother from her mom.

Kate Hudson's dad and siblings

In the early 1980s, the Hollywood actress was estranged from her dad. It was after years of marriage that Kate's mother, Goldie Hawn, and Bill Hudson got divorced. 

When Goldie and Bill split, Bill had two children with his new wife, and another daughter who is named Lalania.

Goldie Hawn also had another child with Kurt Russel. 

That makes four other siblings of Kate Hudson, aside from Oliver.

Kate Hudson rethinks family connections

During a discussion in one of the episodes of Sibling Revelry, Kate realized that while she and Oliver have been talking about siblings, she has been missing out on reconnecting with four more siblings.

She said, "I've been thinking about our sisters that we don't spend any time with and our brother - brothers. We've got four siblings we don't spend any time with."

Kate Hudson says that now that she is getting older, she would like to start having contact with her siblings, especially with her sisters. She said, "It would be nice to connect a little bit, especially with my sisters."

Kate Hudson's estranged dad

In 2016, Kate already shared in a radio program that she has forgiven her father after he walked out of their lives.

She said that she has come to recognize that there were issues, "It's just something that he has to live with, and that must be painful for him. So I forgive him."

Kate Hudson rethinks family connections this new year with his dad and siblings because it was something she felt she had to do since she has been discussing family with her brother, Oliver. Hudson said, "we're sitting here like we have the best family, we're so great and yet we don't ever acknowledge the fact that we have four other siblings. Four."

For Kate Hudson, she strongly believes that this 2021, it is important the they should try to reach out and reconnect with all of their siblings.

In 2018, Oliver Hudson has already shared that he has been trying to reconnect with his father. According to PEOPLE, Oliver said, "We've shot some texts back and forth."
