The great-grandma, who recently celebrated her 110th birthday, realized her life-long dream of becoming a singer through the social networking platform TikTok.

Netizens enjoyed the great-grandma's short clip, which was filmed by her fourteen-year-old great-grandson.

The life-long dream

Amy Hawkins, the great-grandma, was only seven years old when World War I ended. During that time, there was nothing else Amy enjoyed doing but singing and dancing.

When Amy reached her teenage years, she decided she wanted to become an entertainer.

Amy was about to tour with a dance troupe. However, instead of continuing, she could not do so because her mom stopped her. The great-grandmother's mom thought that being an entertainer was not a respectable job.

Celebrating the 110th birthday

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the great-grandmother's four generations of the family have been spending more time together.

The family includes Hannah Freeman, Amy's grandchild, and Sacha, the great-grandson.

It is Sacha and the 110-year-old great-grandmother who has developed a deep and loving bond.

During Amy's celebration of her 11oth birthday, Sacha filmed his great-grandmother singing.

After filming her great-granny singing, Hannah jokingly suggested to her son to upload the video on TikTok. What they did not expect was that it would be receiving such a warm reception from the netizens. As of writing, the video already has more than 115,000 views. Also, since uploading the first video, there were other videos of Amy singing. Most of her videos already garnered thousands of views.
