Oscar Winning Actor Jamie Foxx Becomes Real-Life Hero Affter Rescuing Driver From Car Crash

Jamie Foxx is not only a good actor on screen; he is also a hero in real life. Last night, the award-winning actor bravely rescued a man from a burning vehicle when it crashed near his L.A. home.

A man from Foxx's team confirmed the actor's heroic rescue effort. ABC News reported that Foxx did not hesitate in pulling the man out of the burning vehicle.

Since the incident, Foxx has been regarded by many as a hero. However, according to Foxx, "I'm not a hero, but had to do something." He considers what he did as a natural thing that any man in the same position would do.

The driver of the vehicle, 32-year old Brett Kyle, was said to be drunk while driving his Toyota Tacoma. He was very lucky because his car burst into flames right after Foxx pulled him out.

A police officer who was at the scene of the crash said, "Two witnesses that were near the collision scene ran to the burning, overturned truck in an attempt to free the driver." He added that, "One of the witnesses retrieved a rescue tool from his vehicle allowing the two citizens to break the window, cut the seat belt, and extricate the driver."

In a report by The Guardian, Foxx said that he was at home when the crash happened and upon hearing it immediately ran out to help. During the rescue, he told Kyle, "You've got to help me get you out, because I don't want to have to leave you. You've got angels around you."

The injuries sustained by Kyle include traumas in the head, neck and chest. His family was very thankful for what Foxx did for Kyle.

Foxx has stayed modest about his rescue efforts. For him, what matters is that, "...a man, a son, a brother's life was spared last night. God had his arms wrapped around all of us...No heroes...Just happy fathers."
