Kristin Cavallari Arrested in Illinois: Driving with a California License

Kristin Cavallari confirmed via her Twitter account that she was indeed taken into a police station in Chicago and was forced to post bail for driving without an Illinois license, according to the Huffington Post.

Cavallari, 26, who wed longtime boyfriend, Chicago Bears quarterback, Jay Cutler in June has been living with her husband and son Camden Jack Cutler in Chicago. According to Illinois' DMV website, new residents "have a full 90 days before you need to get your license."

However, Cavallari subsequently tweeted that she still owns property in California, so she is technically still a resident of the state. On her Twitter account she posted: "Who knew having a California drivers license in Illinois was a CRIME to be escorted to the police station to post bail?!! What a morning".

Another tweet she sent out read: "FYI... I still have an apartment in LA so I'm a resident of California." According to the Chicago Tribune, Cavallari was pulled over for speeding yesterday just before noon. After being cited, she was required to "follow the motorcycle officer who stopped her to the police station to post $150 bond." This was because she did not have an Illinois driver's license.

The Huffington Post tried reaching out to Kristin's representatives to get more information about the incident but have not been successful with their attempt. On their website they posted that the story will be updated once more information comes through.
