In the original video, which has been taken by a concerned neighbor, Meatball has seen being beaten and cruelly abused by his owner by bashing the dog's head into the side of their house in Eastpointe, Feb. 19, Friday last week.

Because of the netizens' reaction regarding the crime, the Eastpointe police and animal control were able to secure a search warrant and seize the abused dog. The Eastpointe, Michigan's Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue was never been happier with regards to the progress of Meatball's case, thanking everyone who helped and supported.

"Thank you to all our wonderful supporters who stood up for this voiceless animal and called to make sure he could be brought to safety!" posted by the Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue on their Facebook page. "You guys are heroes!" the organization added.

Meanwhile, Meatball is already getting better receiving lots of love and affection from people who really care. According to Detective Lt. Neil Childs of the Eastpointe Police Department, Meatball is presently observed by a veterinarian to make sure the dog is perfectly fine without any life-threatening injuries. "We will be presenting our findings to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office later this week to see if they will authorize charges," Detective Lt. Neil Childs said.

Theresa Sumpter, the director of the Clinton Township-based rescue organization, expressed how she got so disturbed while watching the video. As reported by The Oakland Press, Sumpter said that the images captured by the neighbor's camera were so absurd.
