Gwyneth Paltrow And Chris Martin Divorce Update: Coldplay Frontman Has Not Responded To Divorce Petition

Here's an update on the Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin divorce: the Coldplay frontman has not returned the paperwork regarding their divorce for nine months already. The superstar couple decided to separate back in 2014 but their divorce has not been finalized yet.

Legal experts have stated that Paltrow will be given all of her requests if Martin continues not to respond to the actress' divorce petition, EXPRESS reports. The judge was also reported to have suggested that the 43-year-old "Iron Man" actress will receive a judgment in her favor if the "Hymn for the Weekend" singer remains quiet about the divorce petition.

"It is unclear how the couple's finances would be divided although 'considerable assets' are said to be involved," EXPRESS added. "Neither has spoken publicly about the apparent impasse."

Although the couple has separated, both have agreed to remain as friends and to take care of their kids. "Well, if you have children together, number one is a dedication to what's best for the kids," Paltrow told Glamour.

Paltrow added that she and Martin decided to work together in taking care of the children to minimize the damage on their kids. The ex-couple had two children together -- daughter Apple and son Moses.

The "Mortdecai" actress also revealed that she and the "Adventure of a Lifetime" singer spend a lot of time together despite not being a couple anymore. Paltrow and the kids sleep a lot in Martin's house and vice versa. "We're still very much a family, even though we don't have a romantic relationship," Paltrow said that she sees Martin as her brother.

Chris Martin has also opened up about his separation from Gwyneth Paltrow. Martin said that he felt "down and confused" during the latter part of their marriage, according to ET. But after their separation and their plan to divorce, Martin became happier and more "grateful to be alive".
