"Girl Meets World" Season 3 spoilers reveal that the longstanding love triangle between Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lucas (Peyton Mayer) will finally be given a resolution.

In an interview with "GMW" creator Michael Jacobs, the showrunner admitted that the love triangle will be answered in Season 3.

"It will span probably a third to a half of Season 3. Not as primary focus, but always as an underlying thing in existence for the characters," he told TheWrap.

Jacobs, however, revealed that when "Girl Meets World" Season 3 finally brings the love triangle issue to the primary focus of the show, it will open up to bigger questions and issues. The showrunner stated that this love triangle will ultimately show how kids of this age perceive relationships.

Jacobs also teased that Josh will have a very important role in "GMW" Season 3 and will be even involved in complicated matters. This seemingly coincides with earlier rumors that Josh and Maya will share more than just friendship, and will put an end to the love triangle.

"Josh will be the center of some of those complications," he said.

Aside from this, Jacobs promised that "Girl Meets World" Season 3 will tackle heavier subjects while taking their audience's age into consideration.

Meanwhile, MTV listed several things that "GMW" can learn about high school from its predecessor, "Boy Meets World."

According to the publication, "BMW" reflected what a person goes through in high school. One has to deal with relationships and at the same time, find their own identity.
