Vinegar can twist the taste of your dish, especially if it is apple cider, which is considered the most well-known vinegar in the natural health communal. It is not only tasteful but is found to be effective in improving some health conditions. In fact, many do not even know how life changing apple cider vinegar could be - it aids in diabetes, just one of the growing concerns amongst Americans today.

Apple cider can cure anything from flu to warts. It has numerous beneficial effects on your body. Authority Nutrition shares the following health benefits of apple cider vinegar:

Apple cider vinegar can reduce your blood sugar level. WebMD reports that apple cider vinegar can block some of the digestion of starch, according to Carol Johnston, Ph.D., director of Arizona State University's nutrition program and has been studying apple cider vinegar for over 10 years.

"It doesn't block the starch 100 percent, but it definitely prevents, at least, some of the starch from being digested and raising from blood sugar," said Johnston. With this, apple cider is good for diabetics.

Apple cider vinegar can aid in weight loss. A clinical study was conducted in 2009 and published online in PubMed. It involved Japanese adults wherein the researchers let them consume two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar every day.

The result showed that after 12 weeks they lost two to four pounds. On the other hand, those who drank plain beverage did not lose pounds.

Apple cider vinegar can kill some kinds of bacteria. Vinegar has an ingredient called acetic acid that can eliminate bacteria and inhibits bacteria from growing. It is traditionally used for treating nail fungus, warts, lice, ear infections and for disinfecting.

Apple cider vinegar has heart health benefits. Apple cider vinegar contains an antioxidant chlorogenic acid that protects the bad LDL cholesterol from being oxidized. It also reduces blood pressure, according to animal studies.

Apple cider vinegar can boost your energy. Some athletes drink diluted vinegar before they eat carbs before competing. The acetic acid in apple cider vinegar helps the muscles generate energy.

On the other hand, do not drink the apple cider vinegar straight because it can harm your esophagus and tooth enamel. Johnston said that just dilute 1 to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a big glass of water and sip it with your meals once or twice a day.
