"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" are two of the most anticipated games this year. In fact, despite the lack of details, the duo titles constantly make headlines. According to reports, "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" are just remakes of "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Blue." Is this good news?

According to Bidness, there's a big chance that "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" are just remakes of "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Blue." At first glance, it might not sound reasonable but there are hints that this theory is possible.

Per the report, sun is related to fire, which is red, a hint that "Pokemon Sun" is "Pokemon Red" in disguise. Meanwhile, although the moon is not blue in color, it affects the seas, which are actually blue. If this theory is correct, then the Pokemon drawn on the box art for "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" could be Charizard and Blastoise or the mega evolutions.

Another reason the report believes "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" are just remakes are the number of Pokemon in the upcoming games. Parent Herald previously reported that "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" would include 10 new Pokemon, which is too few for a whole new Pokemon game.

On a separate note, ComicBook.com reported that the newest legendary Pokemon for "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" would be "Solgaleo" and "Lunaala." An IP lawyer in Japan filed trademarks for the said names. "Sol" and "Luna" are the Spanish names for sun and moon, respectively. Others believe that this is a confirmation that "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" will introduce a new region based in Spain.

The Pokemon Company filed trademarks for "Delphox" and "Meowstic" through a private IP lawyer before, prior to "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y" release. That's why Pokemon fans believe that the monikers were for "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" especially that it comes with the general format for Pokemon names.
