Woman thought she needs appendectomy only to find out she's pregnant and is about to give birth

A woman from Greencastle, Indiana initially thought that she needed appendectomy because she was suffering from extreme abdominal pain, only to find out later  that she's actually pregnant and was about to give birth, according to reports.

Mandy Batchelor was rushed to the hospital by Josh Cox on Friday after she complained of stomach pain.

Cox told The Indy Channel: "We were in the E.R. and they thought maybe she had gallstones. She said, 'We'll take her back,' and then a few minutes later her water burst everywhere."

Batchelor shared that she didn't have any idea she was pregnant. In fact, she even completed a full, eight-hour day shift at the factory where she's working. She shared that her body failed to show any signs of pregnancy, but she has been suffering from back pains - which she thought was because she was always on her feet at work.

"I had weight gain but it was my normal winter time weight gain. I was shocked. Very shocked." She gave birth to a healthy baby boy who weighed seven pounds and 13 ounces.

Mandy and Josh shared that never got to prepare for the coming of the baby and they never experienced any kicks while in the stomach either. Upon the baby's birth, the two also struggled with coming up with a name for their little one.

"General Lee is my mom's grandpa and then Jacob was my dad's grandpa. So both my great-grandpas, I just put them together, plus I have a General Lee car, so it just all worked out," said Cox.

They first announced the birth of their baby on Facebook which shocked all of their family and friends, who initially thought it was a joke.
