'Persona 5' Release Date, News & Update: Title Will Be Out In September; Fourth Trailer Released

For "Persona" fans who have been waiting for the fifth installment of the franchise, your wish will soon be granted. According to reports, Atlus has finally announced the release date of "Persona 5."

'Persona 5' Will Be Out On Sept. 5 In Japan

The Verge reported that after a lengthy countdown, Atlus finally announced that "Persona 5" would be released on Sept. 5 in Japan. However, it is still unknown when the title will be available for the rest of the world.

"Persona 5" was initially slated for release last year. However, it was delayed in September. "Persona 5" is coming to PS3 and PS4. For those interested, pre-orders will open on May 6 at 10 JST, Gematsu notes.

'Persona 5' Will Join E3 2016

According to the report, "Persona 5" will attend the upcoming E3, which will run from June 14 to 16 in Los Angeles. Altus also announced that the "Persona 5" anime special, "Persona 5 the Animation: The Day Breakers" will air in September. It will be a 30-minute animation produced by A-1 Pictures. The said anime is a prologue story featuring the Phantom Thieves on a certain mission.

That's not all, for "Persona" fans out there, Atlus will be hosting the first orchestra concert for the franchise on August 13. There will also be a "Persona 20th Anniversary Festival" at Arts Chiyoda in December.
