Oculus VR News & Update: Millions Of VR Adventurers Used Samsung Gear In April

More than one million individuals patronized the Samsung Gear VR for the month of April. Despite its limited availability on some phones, many users still prefer to use the device for a noteworthy VR experience.

According to Digital Trends, Oculus VR recently announced the feat noting that this is something "impressive" since the Samsung VR device only works in selected phones like the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, Note 5, S6 and S6 Edge. Aside from this, the headset also has an individual price of $100.

But the Samsung Gear VR has remained a favorite in the market, generating more than 250 applications since it was launched. There are also great surprises for players like the Minecraft game and the Deer Hunter VR shooting game.

There are also other well-known games that can be accessed using the Gear VR including Ocean Rift, End Space, Dreadhalls and Bandit Six. There are also must-grab content like Hulu, Orion Trial, Bandit Six: Salvo and Goosebumps Night of Scares.

"VR video continues to be one of the most popular experiences on Gear VR," Oculus was quoted by Digital Trends as saying, "Seven of the top 10 most used apps are videos and, on any given day, nearly 80% of people who use Gear VR watch video content."

Its official website explained that another exciting experience has been offered for Oculus on Gear VR. This is considered to be a 360 3D VR series which look into the lives of nomads. Here, users can live like true Mongolians, fight like them and even travel using their boats.

The company is also expected to release a new "Deadliest Catch" video for Oculus on Gear VR. This will transport users to the Bering Sea where they can be virtual crew members.

Aside from this cool offering, Oculus said there will be more 360 photos on the News Feed. Users can also take panoramic photos and share these to others for them to enjoy a 360-view.
