'The Last Of Us 2' Release Date, News & Update: Ellie Is Pregnant In Naughty Dog Sequel? 'Uncharted 4' Easter Egg Introduces New Sony Game?

"The Last Of Us 2" received renewed focus after the successful launch of "Unchartered 4" by Naughty Dog and Sony. However, "freed-up" Naughty Dog timetable is not the only reason for "The Last Of Us 2" development interest, but also the discovery of a pregnant Ellie within the pages of "Unchartered 4."

A Pregnant Ellie In 'The Last Of US 2'

Movie Pilot reports that Naughty Dog may actually be making Ellie the new focus of "The Last Of Us 2." This may have been evidenced by "The Last Of Us 2" clue hidden inside "Uncharted 4."

The clue was a poster of a pregnant woman, presumably Ellie, with the title "The Last Of Us" and the slogan "American Daughters." According to Movie Pilot, the pregnant woman in "The Last Of Us 2" poster has the same hair color, clothing style and even dirt-smudged areas Ellie is known for.

Clue In The Weapon In 'The Last Of Us 2'

Protests that "The Last Of US 2" poster had Ellie holding a gun with the left hand even if she's right-handed. The media outlet, however, points to "The Last Of Us Remastered" to show Ellie with her weapon on her left hand.

Pointed out, too, is the weapon Ellie is holding in "The Last Of Us Remastered." The weapon Joel had been holding in the Remastered version is the gun the masked Ellie is holding in "The Last Of Us 2" poster from "Uncharted 4."

The gun similarity between Joel in the Remastered cover and "The Last Of Us 2" masked woman may be more significant than thought. Naughty Dog may have been signifying a passing of the torch from Joel to Ellie in "The Last Of Us 2."

'The Last Of Us' Clues In 'Uncharted' Games

This would not be the first time Naughty Dog dropped a teaser on "The Last Of Us" in an "Uncharted" game. The first "The Last Of Us" was teased in "Uncharted 3."

A separate article by Parent Herald cited random speculation that Joel will be replaced as lead in "The Last Of Us 2," currently projected for a 2018 release. Although the threads tying to this are at best flimsy for now, "The Last Of Us 2" being an Ellie story is not improbable.
