Aaron Korsh Plans To Send Mike To Jail In 'Suits'

Yes, there is no doubt that many are surprised when Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) surrendered himself for a two-year prison sentence. Although "Suits" fans know that he is a fake lawyer, he is one of the major characters in the series and it is very unlikely to see the characters behind bars as this would mean a huge change in his character and everything he does in the show.

"Suits" creator Aaron Korsh revealed that he never intended Mike to get into prison because when he wrote the script, the character was not a fake lawyer. Korsh added that Mike just lied about having gone to Harvard Law. However, they later found out that he did not actually attendHarvard Law so he missed the promotion.

However, things have changed from the original script. Mike is not a lawyer and they eventually planned to send the character behind bars. "This was something we came up with at the beginning of the year. We wanted him to get arrested at the end of the first 10 [episodes] and the plan was for him to go to jail," Korsh told TV Guide.
