'Thor: Ragnarok' Air Date, News & Update: Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston Characters Very Different In Final Film? The Hulk, Bruce Banner Conflict To Come To A Head?

"Thor: Ragnarok" will see a very different Chris Hemsworth as the Mjolnir wielding Asgardian and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. In the same way, "Thor: Ragnarok" may find the internal battle between Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner and The Hulk come to an epic head.

Digital Spy reports that Chris Hemsworth is excited for fans to see how Thor and Loki will be given a different treatment in "Thor: Ragnarok." Chris Hemsworth credits "Thor: Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi for the shift in Norse brothers Thor and Loki.

As described by Chris Hemsworth, Taika Waititi gave "Thor: Ragnarok" both comedy and heart, despite expectations that the final instalment on the solo movies on Thor will be dark. The presence of the Norse goddess of death Hela, played by Cate Blanchett, in itself signals heartbreaking deaths are in store for "Thor: Ragnarok."

Nonetheless, Chris Hemsworth promises that before "Thor: Ragnarok" brings on the tears, fans will be treated to a different interaction between his Thor and Loki by Tom Hiddleston. In a separate Digital Spy article "Judge Dredd" actor Karl Urban, set to play Skurge The Executioner, is just as excited as Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston to work with Taika Waititi on "Thor: Ragnarok."

Like Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, Karl Urban seems drawn by the humor and engaging treatment that the "Thor: Ragnarok" script has been given. One more hero that will be out of character will be The Hulk, who is said to get chatty in "Thor: Ragnarok."

Uproxx reports, however, that "Thor: Ragnarok" will not all be roses for The Hulk as alter ego Bruce Banner and the green giant will come to blows. The media outlet points out that the battle between The Hulk and Bruce Banner, however, would have nothing on the apocalyptic events waiting for Chris Hemsworth in "Thor: Ragnarok."

Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo and Karl Urban will be joined by Cate Blanchett, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba and Tessa Thompson in "Thor: Ragnarok." Theater release for "Thor: Ragnarok" is set for Oct. 25, 2017.
