Outgoing Bond director Sam Mendes even noted that Broccoli was the person to impress for the role, saying she "chooses who's going to be the next Bond: end of story."

The timing of Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston's whirlwind romance even suggests that this could be PR set-up from the beginning. All the hype started when the two were seen dancing at the MET Gala, and fans didn't stop talking ever since. Reports claimed that while it seems to be mere coincidence, the events that happened after their first encounter seem to be really calculated.

Tom recently addressed rumors about him being the top bet for James Bond 2016. The actor claimed that it was very flattering to be considered for the role, but he has not been offered anything yet.
