Mitt Romney: Family Still Wants Him To Run For Presidency, Will He Consider Their Request?

Mitt Romney still has the support of his family should he decide to run. One of his sons is still trying to convince him to enter into the race but he seems concerned that he may not be as successful if there will be no support coming from his party.

According to Breitbart.com, Romney told John Dickerson during the Aspen ideas festival on Wednesday and mentioned that he received an email coming from his son saying, "You gotta get in, Dad. You gotta get in," but he went on to say, that he feels that, being an independent candidate will be a sure shot win at the presidential race. This is because of the fact that he will have to ask people to support and rally behind him, and yielding to another candidate is not something that he does in good faith.

This news came out three weeks before the Republican National Convention. Romney is known to be outspoken of his dislike for Donald Trump, the front runner of the Republican Party. His disdain for Trump was well remembered during his lengthy televised speech back in March of 2016. He criticized Trump but he did not dispel any comments regarding the speculation laid out to him during the 2012 national campaign when he ran for the presidency. You can read the transcript of it on the New York Times website.

We know and remember Romney to be the front runner of the GOP race. He lost to President Barack Obama during the US presidential election in 2012. This election year 2016, Republican frontrunner Trump is going to run against Hilary Clinton, nominee of the Democratic Party.

Should Mitt Romney decide to get in the Presidential race, there already has been a Washington Post poll that has been released on March that shows the hypothetical outcome should there be a three way race in between Romney, Clinton and Trump. Now that his family is giving him their support should he decide to get in the presidential race, the question is will he go for it?
