"Outlander" Season 3 spoilers reveal that the show may return sooner than expected. As most fans can recall, the Starz time traveler series has already been renewed for seasons three and four last June, which meant that Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe and the remaining cast and crew were able to prepare for the upcoming season sooner.

"'Outlander' is a beast of a show to produce, so if we took a normal break, a regular hiatus like a normal show, we would already be behind," said producer Matt Roberts, according to Vanity Fair. "Now the fans can have it sooner than what they think. The Droughtlander won't be as long as they expect."

While this news has made a lot of viewers excited for "Outlander" Season 3 knowing that they will not have to wait long for the next season, many are wondering how much of a change will be made in adapting Diana Gabaldon's third book, "Voyager." Showrunner Ron Moore explained that Season 3 is easier to translate to the small screens as compared to Season 2's "Dragonfly in Amber," which had a very complex story to tell.

It looks like fans will also see less of Black Jack Randall and Frank Randall (both played by Tobias Menzies) in "Outlander" Season 3. There will also be new characters including young Ian.

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter also notes on the possibility that Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will be able to travel back through time. Since Claire will attempt to go back to the past, it remains to be seen whether she will return days after the Battle of Culloden or years after that.
