Samsung Galaxy S7 Sells Out Better Than Apple iPhone 6s: Galaxy Note 7 Now Getting Ready To Launch

The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge accounted for higher sales than the iPhone 6s according to Kantar Worldpanel article. The Samsung phone accounted for 16 per cent whereas the Apple phone accounted for 14.6 percent.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 would have fared better than the iPhone 6s/6s Plus since the latter is a year old in the market whereas the former is launched just four months back.

Together Samsung and Apple account for about 66 per cent of the smart phone sales in the United States. They have been able to maintain their place in the market despite that price battle that the Chinese smartphones are raging.

Launch of Galaxy Note 7

Samsung is going to launch its new Galaxy Note in a few weeks' time. This launch is expected to pep up the sales of Samsung. Samsung Galaxy Note is in an advantageous position in the market as the customers like the design of this note better.

Design of the new iPhone

Plenty of rumors and fan made images are doing the rounds regarding the new iPhone. However, the design has not been announced by the company yet.

Galaxy S7 Edge vs Apple iPhone 6s Plus

The Kantar data shows that only five percent of the Samsung purchases came from people who used iPhone earlier. On the other hand 14 percent of iPhone purchasers switched from Samsung.

S7 edge boasts of features like excellent camera, fast as well as wireless charging, water resistance and a more compact size.

Also, there are reports that the majority of current Samsung and iPhone owners do and plan to upgrade their current devices.

Rise of the Budget Smart Phones

Samsung as well as Apple should keep a tight watch on the price competition that the companies like OnePlus, ZTE, Huawei, Gionee and Motorola are giving. The phones from these companies have excellent features for great prices.

The reason to buy a high end smartphone is diminishing with the launch of phones from these companies.
