Indy Car Race News & Updates: Will Power Won The Toronto Grand Prix By Strategy, Wit And A Bag Of Luck?

Any car racer would have dreamed to win one grand competition but for Will Power, he was able to win his third IndyCar victory for the four races. Winning the Toronto Grand Prix brought Power fame while it brought Scott Dixon and the other car drivers' defeat.

According to ABC News, everything was well laid out for Will Power during the former Indy Car Race. Every element led him to victory particularly when he was on the pit road for his decisive drive to victory. Given the fact that Power did not lose any laps, as he made his custom stops, his car was able to cycle to the front when the race leader Scott Dixon and the other drivers made their cars stopped when the caution was made.

When the caution was lifted and the racing was resumed for Indy Car Race, Power was lying second and since Tony Kanaan did not have the needed fuel to keep his momentum, Power outran him with a 1.5-second victory.

For the recently concluded Indy Car Race, Will Power and Chevrolet brought home the gold and the glory. Auto week reports that Power's victory gave him his 28th career victory. It also granted Power the chance to pull his stats closer to his teammate Simon Pagenaud and the wedge that separates the two falls to just a mere 47 points.

The Indy Car Race was also a hurdle that Will Power had to overcome. According to him, "We did need a break. That was a great call (to pit). Just a fantastic day."

It remains indefinite on how Will Power would fare in the upcoming races but his win for the Indy Car Race was truly a remarkable one. All of his strategic approaches have eventually paid off and it granted him the chance to outrun his peers.
