The End of 'Harry Potter': J.K. Rowling Confirmed that the "Harry Potter' Era has Ended

Potterheads feasted over the latest "Harry Potter" book that was released, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Parts 1 and 2)." The latest book, however, will be the end of the "Harry Potter" series, as J.K. Rowling confirmed the ending of the "Harry Potter" era.

During her interview with Reuters, she explained that there would no longer be an additional book as the "Harry Potter" era has come to an end. J.K. Rowling confirmed the end of Harry's journey stating that the play (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) took Harry and the rest of the cast on a remarkable journey, which is enough to end the series.

"No, no," J.K. Rowling tells Reuters. "He goes on a very big journey during these two plays and then, yeah, I think we're done. This is the next generation, you know, So, I'm thrilled to see it realized so beautifully but, no, Harry is done now.

"Harry Potter" fans were heart-broken upon hearing J.K. Rowling's confirmation, but they do understand that it will bring justice to their beloved characters. J.K. Rowling also added that ending the "Harry Potter" series would give fans something special as Harry and his friends will always be in their hearts.

"[The play] chimed perfectly with the material I had about the next generation and I could see it would work perfectly," J.K. Rowling added. "So, I never wanted to write another novel, but this will give the fans something special."

As for Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliff opened up to E! stating that going to the play would make him "feel weird." He then cleared things out stating that he wants the play to be "about the play", adding that he does not want to create the fuss on media where "Harry Potter" would be watching "Harry Potter."

"It would be a weird one," Daniel Radcliff stated. "I could be completely wrong in this, but I feel like if I went to see it that night, there's going to be a lot of "Harry Potter" fans there in the audience obviously and would that then become a thing" Would it be more about them watching me watch the show or would it take away from the show. I would never want to do anything that would distract or take away from the show."
