The publication notes that "Devious Maids" Season 4 ratings experienced a decline from its past seasons' ratings. Aside from this, Lifetime seems to be more focused on non-scripted programming, which makes a lot of fans worried over the future of the show on TV.

Lifetime may have already renewed "UnREAL" despite the fact that "Devious Maids" fared better in terms of ratings. However, the publication states that the former has received plenty of recognition among critics as compared to the latter.

Meanwhile, executive producer Sabrina Wind recently weighed in on a possible "Devious Maids" Season 5 renewal on Lifetime in an interview with TVLine. According to Wind, the Season 4 finale has set the stage for the storyline should the network decide to give them another year on air.

As seen in the "Devious Maids" Season 4 finale, Peri's killer was revealed to be Gail Fleming. Marisol, on the other hand, seemed to have gone missing.

Wind told the publication that should there be a "Devious Maids" Season 5, fans and viewers will see Dani's father, including the events that took place in-between the time jump. The story behind Marisol's disappearance will also be one of the stories in case Lifetime renews the show for another season.
