iPhone 7 iPhone 8 Release: All-Glass Chassis Underway for Next-Gen Smartphone

New reports are suggesting that the hype for the iPhone 7 release date could possibly not live up to user's expectations. Reports have confirmed that Apple's plans for a huge overhaul are underway for the iPhone 8, making the iPhone 7 just an ordinary release this year.

Many are claiming that the iPhone 7 will be a huge let down because of the lack of notable improvements it will have. According to Forbes, as the iPhone 7 release date draws near, more Apple users are expected to avoid buying this year's new Apple phone.

As the site noted, the iPhone 8 is dubbed as the "next-generation" mobile phone. This has caused fans to look forward to Apple's 2017 iPhone release than this year's iPhone 7. It was suggested that the iPhone 8 will boast of an "all glass" chassis making it "the most radical redesign of the smartphone line to date" as noted by Forbes' Gordon Kelly.

"Digging further into its scoop Nikkei says its source revealed 'Foxconn has been trying glass chassis since last year,'" he added. "The move is said to be an attempt by Foxconn to solidify its position as Apple's key iPhone supplier."

Meanwhile, previous iPhone 7 leaks also revealed that the new Apple device could drop its 64GB storage option. As previous reports suggested, Apple could decide to go with just a 32GB entry level model followed by a 128GB midrange and 256GB top end.

9 to 5 Mac noted that the iPhone 7 could also have a new home button that will have waterproof and dustproof capabilities. The site also hinted on that a Smart Connector could be included in the new phone.
