NBA Latest Trade Rumors: DeMarcus Cousins, Jahlil Okafor, Jimmy Butler Being Pursued By Boston Celtics?

DeMarcus Cousins is one of the hot names on the trading block but new reports have confirmed that aside from him being pursued by Boston Celtics, Jimmy Butler and Jahlil Okafor are also players that the NBA team wants to play for them for the 2016-2017 NBA season.

The general manager of Boston Celtics, Danny Ainge, said in a statement that the NBA rumors about their team trying to make major deals during this 2016 offseason are true. However, he pointed out that they could not make major trades because the teams they are negotiating with are asking for too much.

The three top players being reportedly traded to Boston Celtics are Cousins, of the Sacramento Kings, Butler, of the Chicago Bulls, and Okafor, of the Philadelphia 76ers, Sportsrageous reported. Boston Celtics reportedly tried to get Kevin Durant and that he reportedly considered being part of Boston Celtics but was able to land a deal with the Golden State Warriors.

Ainge added, "We were aggressive in trade talks but those depend on price. We were just trying to make the best decisions we can." Ainge did not give away specific details about the trades that they were making but noted that they feel good with the players they have now.

Yibada reported that most likely, Butler will be tried out first with his new teammates Rajon Rondo and Dwayne Wade with the Chicago Bulls. As for Cousins, Sacramento Kings continued to deny the reports that they are trading him for younger players as they do not want to lose their big man on the team.

Cousins has also been linked to Chicago Bulls as analysts are saying that he and Butler could make a great team. Cousins was also linked to Los Angeles Lakers after he tweeted about the NBA team being his all-time favorite since he was a kid.

The players involved as well as the NBA teams are yet to comment on this report.
