Latest NBA Trade Reports: What Would Denver Nuggets Have To Give Up To Get DeMarcus Cousins? They Might Let Go Of Nurkic, Faried

DeMarcus Cousins has been a favorite in the NBA trade rumors during the 2016 offseason and he is reportedly being pursued by Denver Nuggets. However, Denver Nuggets might have to let go of Jusuf Nurkic and Kenneth Faried in order to acquire the prized player.

The 26-year-old all-star center got along well with the current Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone in the past and rumor has it that the coach would love to reunite with Cousins. However, the deal will not be that easy as they might send Nurkic, Faried, and Wilson Chandler to the Sacramento Kings. Nuggets might also have to give up their protected 2017 first-round pick from Memphis, Sportsrageous reported.

Denver Stiffs also reported that Cousins being in Rio with the U.S. Olympic Team has benefitted him well as his gameplay was highlighted making his career possibly better in the coming seasons. The only problem with Cousins is his attitude and clashes with the coaches so analysts are saying that if he gets to be traded to Denver Nuggets, he might not have a problem with Malone, which could in turn strengthen the NBA team.

During the one full season that Malone coached Sacramento Kings, Cousins recorded his highest value over replacement player and his box score plus/minus. It is possible that if Cousins and Malone will be reunited, he could play very well for Denver Nuggets.

As for Faried and Chandler being traded to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Cousins, it might be great for the former team as they both play well together. However, it was pointed out by analysts that Sacramento Kings needs a guard right now so if they are okay with making the deal with Denver Nuggets, they might want to ask for Gay Harris, Jamal Murray, or Emmanuel Mudiay.

Cousins has not yet commented on the rumors surrounding him being traded to other teams for the 2016-2017 NBA season.
