NBA Trade Rumors: Blockbuster Three-way Deal Between Celtics, Sixers, and Timberwolves; Noel, Rubio and Johnson In Picture

NBA trade rumors are ablaze news on Philadelphia 76ers. There are rumors that the Sixers and the Celtics are discussing a trade which will change the face of the roster of both the teams. NBA trade rumors suggest that the Boston Celtics are joining hands with the Philadelphia 76ers to make a move to find a pair for their prized acquisition of Al Horford. The deal which the two teams are working on would require the addition of another team to make it happen.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are the third team which is included in the trade talks between the Sixers and the Celtics. The triangular trade deal is now one of the most talked about topics in the NBA trade rumors. The rumors suggested that Philadelphia would send Nerlens Noel to Boston, Minnesota would trade Ricky Rubio to the 76ers, and Celtics would send Amir Johnson to the Timberwolves, reported Inquisitr.

NBA trade rumors suggest that this three-way trade might work out fine for the Team Boston. The deal will upgrade their center position with a player who is similar to Amir Johnson. He is in good form too and is considered more talented. Nerlens Noel and Al Horford would make the Celtics stronger together. The also would balance each other as Horford plays more offensively and Noel is a good defensive force in the middle, reported YIBADA.

When we consider the Sixers, they will also benefit from the trade. According to NBA trade rumors, the team has a weak point guard spot as of now. On the other hand, the team has high draft picks like Jahlil Okafor, Joel Embiid and Noel at the center. The team needs to give up on at least one of them. If Ricky Rubio joins the team it would strengthen the team at the lead guard position.

NBA trade rumors suggested that Minnesota is looking to trade Ricky Rubio. This is because they believe that Kris Dunn will be a good player at the Timberwolves' offense. However, Amir Johnson will not be a good fit in Minnesota. This is why another third team should come into the picture. However, Amir Johnson's expiring contract might be the reason that Timberwolves are interested in him.

Johnson has one year left on his current deal that will pay him $12 million in 2016-17. NBA trade rumors suggest that Minnesota might be looking way into the future and planning on what can be done with the $12 million additional capital during the next season.
