‘FIFA 17’ Latest News & Update: What to Expect from Latest Football Video Game

It's that time of the year again, where EA Sports releases one of the most anticipated sports games of the year, "FIFA 17." It's time for players to lace up their boots, put on their favorite club jersey, warm up their thumbs, and get ready for another exciting season of football gaming.

There're plenty of reasons to be excited about in the new "FIFA 17" game. EA Sports has made major upgrades to FIFA's gameplay, allowing for a more realistic feel. According to Digital Spy, changes to the game's ball handling and control were made for easier, or harder playing, depending on which side of the ball players are on. One aspect is the reception of air balls, players can now control and put the ball down to their feet, instead of giving away the header and hoping that a teammate will catch it.

Another major change is the new shielding technique for dribbling in "FIFA 17." Players can now shield the ball without pausing from a run, which makes for faster protection. Tackling and sliding now has also become more animated, giving "FIFA 17" a heavier, and more intense vibe. Free kicks, penalties and corners now have become more challenging, with players being able to control more aspects of the kick, from the running speed, to the leg swing, and to last minute direction changes. Once mastered, players could keep the defense guessing throughout the entire match. Coupled with even more exceptional graphics, "FIFA 17" will surely have players hooked for hours on end.

A new feature for "FIFA 17" is "The Journey", where players will control Alex Hunter, a talented young footballer who makes his way through the ranks of the elite teams in the Premier League. Players will be responsible for Alex's career, from choosing a position, selecting a team, and will guide Alex from being a bench player to a football superstar.

Also according to the EA Sports official site, "FIFA 17" will run on the powerful Frostbite engine, for a higher quality gaming experience, bringing in plenty of character depth. In addition to adding even more detail, Frostbite will bring "FIFA 17" players to places behind the football pitch, including locker rooms, manager's office, entrance tunnels and team planes, never before seen in the "FIFA" series, bringing home true-to-life emotions.

"FIFA 17" will be released in late September 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
